"If Obama is elected he will not raise income taxes but instead impose very large "carbon taxes" on all fossil fuels.
Nuclear power doesn't create a "carbon footprint" but there is strong arguement that hydroelectric causes the release of a lot of CO2 into the air so that will also be taxed. No rise in income txes for those under $250K but plenty of new tax revenue.
Of course energy costs will rise dramatically. Higher energy costs tend to be recessive."
